Oil filled radiator

A standard 2,000 watt oil filled radiator uses around 2 kilowatt hours (kWh) of energy for every hour it’s in use. It works on the principle of radiant heat, so it has to heat the air before you will benefit from it.. Cost to run about 68p per hour. *

Fan heater typically 2 kw

Electric fan heaters are very power intensive, consuming a lot of electricity even in a short space of heating time. Running costs  are approx 29.5p per kilowatt hour. This runs continuosly. Cost to run about 69p per hour. *

Convector heater typically 2 kw

Convection heating. relies on the movement of air and avoiding cold spots is incredibly difficult. You tend not to see even temperatures throughout the room.  Holding the heat in the air isn’t particularly stable. Imagine spending half an hour heating the temperature in the air up to 21oC only for someone to briefly open the door., the heat will escape. Cost to run about 67p per hour. *

Working from home during the cold months could take some getting used to! Making sure you know how to best stay warm during this period means you’ll stay healthy and comfortable without wasting money or energy.

We offer two panels that are suitable for under desk heating.
